Plant-based PE-bidons op basis van suikerriet
Ons plant-based PE wordt geproduceerd uit reststromen van de suikerrietplant.
Eerst wordt het suikerriet geoogst voor suikerproductie. De resterende biomassa wordt vervolgens verwerkt tot ethanol, dat wordt omgezet in ethyleen: de basisgrondstof voor PE. Dit productieproces is efficiënt en schoon. Bovendien neemt suikerriet tijdens de groei CO₂ op uit de atmosfeer.

All our Tacx bottles are BPA free, PFAS free and compliant with the most recent EU rules and regulations.

We buy the bio-based material in Brazil.
Yes, it is. Just 2 different names the supplier uses. Plant-based, we think is clearer, as the PE is made from the residue of the sugarcane plant.
Yes, it is 100% recyclable.
Yes, we do Post Industrial Recycling (PIR). We have a machine that transforms our own post production material into pellets, that we can use to produce bottles again.
Our plant-based PE is made from the residual material of the sugarcane plant. First, the sugarcane is harvested for sugar production. The remaining biomass is then processed into ethanol, which is converted into ethylene – the base material for producing PE. This production process is fast and clean and comes with an important added benefit: while the sugarcane grows, it absorbs CO2 from the atmosphere.
Yes, they are. Our bottles are designed for long-lasting use. All components are made from mono-material plastics, which are easy to recycle, minimizing their environmental impact. We also continually search for the best materials and follow new sustainability developments, to keep improving our products.
Not necessarily. While both use four colors, there is a key difference. A “4-color imprint” can refer to either a CMYK process (used for photos and gradients) or 4 specific PMS (Pantone) colors (used for exact color matching).
In many cases, a CMYK print requires additional supporting colors to achieve the best result. We prefer to review your artwork in advance to ensure you are calculating the correct price.
